Cute, short, HOT. Though, dialogue/narrative completely doesn't fit the time period. I can live without 'manroots,' 'throbbing members' and a slew of other old-fashioned words, so it wasn't so bad. Characterization didn't make a lick of sense (virgin in the medieval ages knowing too much about sex and lust) but it was short, sweet, and dirty. It wasn't supposed to be more than that and the author even states that in the beginning.

Just what I bargained for short, involving, and sexy. A wonderful read for a night alone.
For a short, smutty read this was almost too sweet. Gunnar laid claim to Ingrid from the very first look. Instead of being cold and dominating, like you would expect from a Viking, he was very protective and all about her care and comfort. You saw hints of his dominant behavior in his thoughts but he never really had to follow through since Ingrid was all for being captured by Gunnar. I certainly don't blame her. It's very short so you don't get a lot of story, but there's enough to give you that romantic fix.
Kinda sexist but I guess that's the point right? /
Jenika Snow never disappoints!!! Another fabulous book in her "Real Man" series!!!

Gunner and Ingrid was a little bit different type of story that involved Viking warrior instantaneous falling for the last he rescued. The sex scene was drawn out. Overall an okay read.
I would have liked the story to have been longer, however, the Viking treated the heroine with gentleness and he was a true hero. This book is a keeper.
